Companies may still be struggling to make ends meet, but they are committed to rewarding employees by offering higher salaries.
Average salaries are expected to rise by 3.4 percent in 2012, according to the newly released 2012 Salary Guides from Robert Half International.
Technology jobs are projected to see the largest gains, with an anticipated 4.5 percent increase in base compensation.

Over the past few years, several studies have been conducted looking at social media and employer hiring habits.  One of those studies, conducted by Microsoft, showed that 70% of employers in the United States screened out potential employees because of information found online.  The study also showed that the majority of recruiters and HR professionals indicated that they think it’s appropriate to consider personal information found online in screening potential job applicants.

Sending in your resume is usually your first step in making a lasting impression to your dream company, so you’ve got to make sure yours is awesome enough. Your resume isn’t the only one the company is looking at, so a good resume must first stands out from the crowd and be distinctive by its own. Most organizations aren’t really fussy about design and simply wants a black – white, easy-to-read resume. That said, if you are applying for a graphic designing job, your resume is a valuable chance for you to flaunt your creativity and for them to gauge your designing capabilities.

Not only is it possible to use YouTube to get a job, but it’s becoming a more popular option, especially for the current crop of would-be-employees that grew up with web video. Some argue that video is a more personal tool for job searching, acting as a digital interview, while others see it as cold and alienating, as it lacks the face-to-face element.

Costretti a contendersi le briciole rimaste sul tavolo di un banchetto consumato da altri. Cosi si sentono la gran parte di quelli che oggi cercano lavoro. Sì, perché le occasioni di impiego, quando si ha la fortuna di trovarle, sono sempre più precarie. Anche per professionisti esperti. E quasi mai lasciano intravedere un futuro da condividere con l'azienda. Il bisogno di sicurezza e l'amarezza per le delusioni patite, sono così il bagaglio che ciascuno porta con sé ad ogni colloquio di lavoro. Tanto che oggi, pure i direttori del personale confessano disagio nel non potere offrire di più. Soprattutto quando si trovano a spiegare le condizioni ai candidati che, in sempre maggior numero, bussano alle loro porte.
